Data Policy

Our Commitment to Keeping Your Data Safe

At OIT Pte. Ltd. (“OIT”), we treat data protection seriously because we work with people who do serious work—like fund managers, finance professionals, and regulated businesses.

When we say we protect data, we mean we do our best to keep it safe:

  • When it’s stored on our systems (data-at-rest)

  • When it’s being transferred across the internet or networks (data-in-transit)

  • Even when it’s being worked on or used by a system or team member (data-in-use)

This policy explains what we do with your personal data, why we need it, and how you can reach out if you want to check or change anything.

We see this as a matter of trust, not just a checkbox.

What Is Personal Data?

Personal data is any piece of information that can point back to you. It could be your name, email address, phone number—or even something less obvious, like a customer ID or billing reference number.

You might give us this info directly, someone else might do it on your behalf, or we might receive it through a platform or business partner.

We only collect or use your data when there’s a valid reason, and we’ll always let you know why—unless there’s a legal reason we can’t.

We follow the rules under Singapore’s PDPA and keep our data collection honest and purposeful.

Why We Use or Share Your Data

We don’t collect data for fun. We use it when we have work to do, such as:

  • Helping you get started with our services

  • Replying to your questions

  • Handling invoices or support tickets

  • Letting you know about upgrades or related tools

  • Making our services better through surveys or feedback

  • Or any other purpose we clearly explain when asking for your data

Sometimes, we work with other companies—like email providers or hardware partners. If we share your data, it’s only to help with the task at hand, and they follow strict data protection rules too.

Data is used to support your experience and never to exploit it.

When We Might Share Without Asking

Most of the time, we’ll ask before sharing your data. But there are a few situations where we might not be able to wait for consent, like:

  • If the law requires us to

  • If it helps keep someone safe in an emergency

  • If a government agency needs it for an investigation

  • If there’s a legal reason we have to comply

We always consider what’s in your best interest before doing anything, and we’ll document the reason clearly.

We’re careful with data sharing, and when it’s necessary, we do it responsibly.

How to View or Fix Your Info

You can always ask to see what personal data we have about you. You can also ask us to fix any mistakes.

To do that, email dpo@oit.com.sg. We’ll first confirm it’s really you (for your protection), then handle your request within 30 days. If it takes longer, we’ll keep you updated.

We might charge a small fee for access, but we’ll tell you upfront. We won’t charge for simple corrections.

Accuracy matters—to you, and to us—so we take these requests seriously.

If You Want to Take Back Consent

Changed your mind about letting us use your data? No problem. Email dpo@oit.com.sg to withdraw your consent.

We’ll stop using your data as soon as we can. But depending on what consent you’re taking back, it might affect how we serve you—or whether we can continue to at all.

It’s your call, and we’ll respect it. Just know that some services rely on access to certain information.

How We Keep Your Data Safe

We do our best to make sure your information stays safe, accurate, and up to date. If your details change, let us know.

We’ve put digital and physical safeguards in place to keep out unauthorised access. But no system is 100% perfect—so we also monitor and respond fast when something seems off.

When we no longer need your data, we remove it securely.

Strong protection is part of our job—and we treat it that way.

If Your Data Leaves Singapore

If your data needs to be sent outside of Singapore—for example, to a cloud service or partner company—we make sure that country or company handles it just as securely.

We also make sure your consent is in place when the law requires it.

Cross-border doesn’t mean cross-the-line. Your data still gets the same care.

If You Have a Complaint

Something bothering you about how we handled your data? Please email dpo@oit.com.sg, attention: “Data Protection Officer.” Or write to:

6 Raffles Quay, #16-02, Singapore 048580

We’ll look into your concern promptly and work to resolve it.

We take feedback seriously—especially when it comes to your privacy.

If This Policy Changes

We may tweak this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the version on oit.com.sg so you’ll always know what’s new.

We encourage you to check in once in a while.

Privacy evolves—and so does our approach to keeping it protected.
